 FactoryWidgets Configuration
FactoryWidgets® configuration consists of just two parts:
- Connecting the WidgetServer application to your data source
- Connecting your FactoryWidgets on your desktop to your WidgetServer
You’ll need to know a few pieces of information before you get started so that the process goes quickly:
- Name of the computer where your data source is running - i.e. your OPC Server or Wonderware™ Historian/InSQL computer
- This step depends on the Data source you are connnecting to
- For OPC DA: Name or ProgID of the OPC Server
- For Wonderware™ Historian: The user name and login that has read-only access to the data. Your Wonderware Historian administrator will have this
- The Tagnames of the points you are interested in displaying
