FactoryWidgets® Specifications
WidgetServer System Requirements
- .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
- Access to one of the following supported Data sources
- OPC DA 2.x Compliant Server
- Wonderware™ Historian (InSQL 9.0 or higher) or Desktop Historian
- 30 MB disk space to install and store configuration files
- 50 MB free memory not in use by operating system or other applications
- Server Class Operating systems (IIS is NOT required by the WidgetServer!)
- Windows Server 2003 x86 and x64, including R2 and SP2
- Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher x86 and x64
- Desktop Class Operating Systems*
- Windows XP Pro SP3
- Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Ultimate, Windows Vista Enterprise
- Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 7 Enterprise
* If you run the WidgetServer on a desktop class operating system, the operating system may limit the number of concurrent network connections to the WidgetServer to 10, which may limit the number of FactoryWidgets connected to the WidgetServer at one time to 10. Run the WidgetServer on a supported server class operating system to avoid these operating system-imposed limitations.
Client (Desktop) System Requirements
- Desktop Class Operating Systems
- Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate, Enterprise
- Windows Vista Business, Ultimate, Enterprise
- Windows XP (Service Pack 3)*
- Windows Server 2008 x86, x64, including R2*
- Browser: Internet Explorer 7 or higher (installed) - this is simply required due to shared files between the Windows Sidebar and Internet Explorer. You do NOT have to have Internet Explorer up and running to use FactoryWidgets.
- 10 MB free disk space
- 64 MB free memory not in use by operating system or other applications
* The Windows Gadget Gallery and the Windows sidebar are not native to the XP operating system. In order to install the sidebar and extract the FactoryWidgets to a computer running Windows XP, you must also download and install a third-party utility.
